Mads Hendeliowitz

Olympic Rider Rio 2016

Mads Hendeliowitz (born 14 January 1982) is a Danish-born Olympic dressage rider who has been representing Sweden since 2009. Passion, dedication and a great love for horses has taken Mads to where he is today. Currently 35th on FEI World Ranking. Both his parents Gitte and Jens brought Mads along on their horses as soon as he could sit up straight. At the age of 10 he started riding in a small riding school close to home and after that he was unstoppable. Training with Birthe Gudmundsson outside his hometown Hilleröd led to when  turning 18 years old leaving for Sweden and working and training  at Stromsholm Riding School with Eva Karin Oscarsson. Mads started competing internationally for Denmark as a young rider. 2009 he founded Segersta Equestrian together with Maria Westerberg and also became a Swedish citizan. The first years internationally as a senior he competed Weihenstphaner in many Nation Cups, Nordic Champioships and other shows. Mads Hendeliowitz competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with an Oldenburg stallion Jimmie Choo. He finished 29th in the individual and 5th in the team competition. Mads is one of Swedens most popular trainers, known for his inspiring clinics. Training is held at Segersta all weekdays. He´s trained the Swedish mounted police for many years, currently he´s the trainer of the Estonian Teams and visits Tallinn regularly. Merits Swedish Championships 2017 Silver 2016 Silver 2015 fourth 2014 fourth Olympics 2016 29th in the individual and 5th in the team competition. Represtend Sweden in many Nations Cups, with both Jimmie Choo and Weihenstephaner. Training with Tinne Wilhelmson, Eric Lette and Patrik Kittel.

Karin Persson

After eight professional years in the U.S.A, Karin Persson has returned home to Sweden to join forces with Segersta Equestrian as assistant rider and trainer.

Karin has an impressive resume with more than 20 years of professional riding, training and competing in dressage, both internationally and in Sweden. After finishing high school she did a quick stint in Germany before joining Louise Nathorst with whom she’s continuously kept working with throughout the years.

During her time with Louise Nathorst Karin gained success in the national arena with young horses and was selected as one of ten talents in the TROJKA project. During the period of 2000 and 2012 she qualified several horses to the finals in The Breeders Trophy as well as Folksam Scandinavian Open, and made a reputation for herself as a much beloved trainer with students from the National Pony Dressage Team and young riders in dressage and eventing. 2009 and 2012 Karin won the bronze medal in the Swedish Team Championships in dressage.

In 2012 Karin made the move to the U.S.A. During her years in the U.S.A (New York/Wellington) she co-founded and managed Stonebridge Sport Horses, worked as a dressage trainer as well as focusing on her own carrier as an elite athlete. Her international show debut was in 2014 in Wellington, Florida, with the Swedish warmblood and small tour horse Cortison which she sold the next year to the upcoming star and young rider Hannah Beaulieu. 2016 Karin won silver at the 2016 U.S. Young Horse Championships in the 5-year old division with her own Dutch warmblood Giuliano B, also known by the name “Liam”, who has followed her to Segersta Equestrian.

Karin is currently competing up to Intermediare IB. With “Liam” she has set her sights on the 2022 World Equestrian Games.

Pricelist for training

TRAINING AT CAMP SEGERSTA Camps are between 2-3 days depending on availability. Housing in the beautiful guest rooms at the Rider’s Lounge. Your horses are stabled in our  outdoor boxes just next to our beautiful indoor arena. In the Rider’s Lounge we have a nice open space kitchen and dining area overlooking the indoor arena. The kitchen is well equipped and excellent for cooking/dining together. You buy/cook your own food. For those who prefers restaurants there is a nice selections in Bålsta near by. Included in the camps are: Housing for you and your horse. 1 training session/day and a clinic with Mads. Bookings only via email. Cancellations up to 1 week prior to Camp start, thereafter full payment is due. Payment is due prior to Camp start. 2 days camp 3550 SEK. Box och housing, 2 training sessions, fika. 3 days camp 5850 SEK. Box och housing, 3 training sessions, clinic, fika. Personal training camps Book directly with your trainer. Misc prices:

Box per night: 400 SEK (not possible to book box only) Housing per person/night: 500 SEK Horse on contract at Segersta 17 250 SEK/month. Invoiced in advance per 2 weeks or per month upon agreement. 30 minutes personal training: 1200 SEK incl arena fee. For all trainings at Segersta, membership in Sällskapet Segersta Sportryttare is mandatory. Training with Mads

TRAINING AT YOUR YARD within 5 miles from Segersta: 2000 kr per hour inc vat (moms) and travel costs.  Car expenses apply with 40 sek/mil, minimum training lessons are 4 hours. More that 50 km from Segersta: 2500 SEK per hour plus travel expenses. (flight/train or car expenses) If travel time is more than 1 hour away hotel is booked and paid for by training student. Training sessions is then afternoon day 1 and pre lunch day 2. Clinic Mads give clinics, if it is of interest they can also bring horses. Price on request. COACHING AT COMPETITIONS By agreement only and all expenses apply.

TRAINING AT YOUR YARD within 5 miles from Segersta: 650 SEK per 45 minutes incl. VAT (moms) and travel costs.  Car expenses apply with 40 SEK/mil, minimum training lessons are 4 lessons. More that 50 km from Segersta: 650 SEK per lesson (45 minutes) plus travel expenses. (flight/train or car expenses) If travel time is more than 1 hour away hotel is booked and paid for by training student. Minimum training lessons are 8 lessons. 45 minutes personal training at Segersta Equestrian: 650 SEK incl. VAT and arena fee. For all trainings at Segersta, membership in Sällskapet Segersta Sportryttare is mandatory.
