Mads Hendeliowitz (born 14 January 1982) is a Danish-born Olympic dressage rider who has been representing Sweden since 2009. Passion, dedication and a great love for horses has taken Mads to where he is today.

 

Both his parents Gitte and Jens brought Mads along on their horses as soon as he could sit up straight. At the age of 10 he started riding in a small riding school close to home and after that he was unstoppable. Training with Birthe Gudmundsson outside his hometown Hilleröd led to when  turning 18 years old leaving for Sweden and working and training  at Stromsholm Riding School with Eva Karin Oscarsson.

Mads started competing internationally for Denmark as a young rider. 2009 he founded Segersta Equestrian together with Maria Westerberg and also became a Swedish citizan. The first years internationally as a senior he competed Weihenstphaner in many Nation Cups, Nordic Champioships and other shows. Mads Hendeliowitz competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de JaneiroBrazil, with an Oldenburg stallion Jimmie Choo. He finished 29th in the individual and 5th in the team competition.

Mads is one of Swedens most popular trainers, known for his inspiring clinics. He´s trained the Swedish mounted police for many years, currently he´s an A-level trainer.
